DETROIT, Mich. (May 30, 2017)LaunchDETROIT invites Detroit area entrepreneurs to attend either of two free Open Houses during June in Detroit. The first is scheduled from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Tues., June 6, at Level One Bank, located at 1420 Washington Blvd., and the second from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tues., June 20, at Ponyride, 1401 Vermont Street.

Attendees will have the opportunity to receive detailed information about this multi-faceted micro loan program that includes a combination of free business training at Baker College of Allen Park, micro loans of up to $2,500, assigned business mentors and networking opportunities.

Volunteers, mentors and graduates of LaunchDETROIT will be on hand at the Open Houses to share how the program has helped local entrepreneurs.

This non-profit program, powered by Rotary volunteers from District 6400, is currently accepting online applications at www.LaunchDetroit.org until July 21, 2017. Qualifying applicants will be interviewed in August. Successful candidates must have a business product or service that will enable them to repay their loan within one year through regular installments.

Upon entrepreneurs’ completion of 10 required business classes that begin in September and end with business plan presentations in December, the LaunchDETROIT selection committee will interview candidates for micro-loans to be awarded in January 2018.
