LaunchDETROIT, a micro-loan finance program developed by Rotary District 6400, will host a “Grassroots Marketing” workshop for Detroit area entrepreneurs. The workshop will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Baker College, located at 4500 Enterprise Drive in Allen Park. It is the second in a series of “Business Basics” presentations. There is a nominal cost of 10 dollars to attend the 90 minute workshop.

The workshops are being led by Rotarians who have expertise and business background in each subject matter. The June 30 workshop will be led by Rotarians Kim Spirou, owner of Spirou & Associates, a public relations and marketing firm in Windsor, Ontario; Mary Ferris, management consultant and former CEO of a Detroit healthcare non-profit; and Margaret Blohm, APR, president of Margaux & Associates in Dearborn.

LaunchDETROIT is a multi-pronged program that offers qualifying entrepreneurs a combination of free business training in partnership with Baker College, micro loans of $1,000 to $2,500, assigned business mentors and networking opportunities.
